Research interests:
I work on comparative analysis of contemporary literature, visual arts and theory in the context of the representation and critical reception of the past, with particular stress on repressed and marginalized aspects of it. I am mostly interested in works of art and literature, which could (and should) be treated as “theoretical objects,” works, which rather than illustrating existing models or concepts, lead to and allow for working out of new theoretical and interpretative frameworks.

I am the author of a book based on my PhD thesis, entitled Events after the Event. Białoszewski-Richter-Spiegelman, (2012), and the author of translations of Susan Buck-Morss’ Hegel, Haiti and Universal History, (2014), Dominick LaCapra’s History in Transit (2009), among others. I am currently working on translation of Michael Rothberg’s Multidirectional Memory. Remembering the Holocaust in the Age of Decolonization, and the collection of my essays on art and literature entitled The Content of the Form and the Margins of Memory (Men in History)
