Kazańczuk: an edition of Historie świeże i niezwyczajne [Fresh and Unusal Histories], and a volume of articles).
The Department aims to integrate researchers of medieval literature. In 2001, it held a national conference, "Literary Medievalism in Poland," and, in 2003, it hosted a monothematic conference on Kazania Świętokrzyskie [St. Cross Sermons].
Since 2002, the Department has been organizing, at least twice a year, interdisciplinary national one-day conferences under the title "Medievalists’ Meetings."
The Department participates in the activities of the Polish Medievalists’ Standing Committee.
